In between everything else, Tony is in rehearsal for a production of MRS WARREN"S PROFESSION by George Bernard Shaw at the ANTAEUS company.
They preview in early march and open mid month and run through mid April. It's double cast meaning the actors can continue to do film and TV . This also means that each of the actorssplit preformances with another actor so with work commitments it can get tricky to know what their schedules will be.

January 26, 2013 ~ News

Sel's resolution this year is to keep the site updated. She will also go through a major clean out the wildlands aka the link section for da boys.

Tony dropped a note ~ I continue to recurr on ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME as Gepetto and a series I did last winter called CONTINUUM has just starting airing on SYFY. I play a character called KAGAME and let just say he and GEPPETTO don't have much in common.

January 13, 2013 ~ News

Tony Amendola interview.

January 11, 2013 ~ News

Dragged another character actor into the horror that is Selmak.Org. Peter Mullan? Since he's Scottish, I thought he'd add much needed class to the website. (Ignore the screams, that is an Irish Actor that I've tagged for the next addition. I'm only permitted one non-native character actor a week.)

January 6, 2013 ~ News

Tony was kind enough to drop a line.

Things are fine here albeit schizophrenic. Had a busy winter doing a Canadian series called CONTINUUM which has just been brought by SCI-fi USA and UK and should begin airing in January. Have a recurring on ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME as GEPETTO. It's is quite a wonderful series and I'm proud to be a part of it. Already did Episode 2 of season 2 in July. After that burst I managed to spend time at both the SUNDANCE DIRECTOR"S LAB( as an actor) and at the OJAI PLAYWRIGHT's CONFERENCE (actor). Both wonderfully rich experiences that help remind us why we got involved in this crazy profession. Right now I'm in search and wait mode; searching for the next job and waiting for the right chemistry to happen---role / people etc.

Terrence Mann is heading toward Broadway in Pippin. Rumours have it March or so. If you wish to see picture of TM in Pippin click here.

All In the Famiglia: Carmen Argenziano - Jacob Carter to Stargate SG-1 fans – will take on a slightly more Earth-bound mission this weekend. This Saturday and Sunday evening will find him handling emcee duties for the first-ever La Lupa Italian Cultural Arts Festival at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, Calif. Playing host - not to Selmak! - but to the fest’s Teatro Programme, Carmen will preside over an array of contemporary Italian and Italian-American performers presenting theatre, music, dance, poetry and lyric opera in a 90-minute program sure to delight and transport audiences well beyond the Jersey Shore.

In addition to playing Sam Carter’s father on Stargate SG-1, Carmen, a lifetime member of the Actor's Studio, has acted in over 50 films and 100+ TV series and episodes, portraying a spectrum of characters from detectives to colonels, priests to senators, as well as some bad-boy gangsters and mafia types. But one real-life role he’ll never outgrow: proud Italian American. For those who’d like to feel the amore this weekend, go to or call (323) 769-5808 to purchase tickets.

Leo Marks, Betsy Brandt, Laura Heisler, Tony Amendola and Linda Gehringer will be featured in the South Coast Repertory world premiere of Julia Cho's The Language Archive , a new romantic comedy about love and miscommunication, March 26-April 25.

Opening night is April 2. Mark Brokaw directs the play, which recently won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.

The comedy "tells the story of George (played by Marks), a brilliant linguist who knows how to talk to everyone except his wife, Mary (played by Brandt), who is about to leave him, and his assistant, Emma (played by Heisler), who has a not-so-secret crush on him," according to SCR notes. "Meanwhile, at work, he's in danger of losing his chance to record the dying Elloway language. Its last two speakers — an elderly married couple (Amendola and Gehringer) — are in the midst of a fight, and they refuse to speak their native tongue until they resolve the argument."

Also thanks to top Secret Jaffa Agent, M, who reported that Tony will be at the Utah Shakepearean theater in the summer 2010.

CEDAR CITY, UT—A number of exciting new faces will grace the Utah Shakespearean Festival stages this summer. Patrons will be introduced to new actors who have worked at theatres like The Old Globe, American Conservatory Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and more.

Carmen has an official site and so does Tony. And while their official sites might have all this cool stuff, and mentions how they're luxurious, memorable and elegant... well... we've got Sel here. Does snark count? (But yay! People can stop sending Sel sad, plaintive requests for the boys' autographs and go directly to the boys.)

January 1, 2010 - Sorry, real life issues had taken over my life so I had to neglect Sel for a bit. (Also? How many people are still visting here anyway?)

Sel got another email recently.

A couple of months ago we contacted your website and asked if you could help us spread the interest for Chevron 7.3 – A Stargate Convention. Now we're back with a new event that will take place in January – Chevron 7.4 which will be even better. The website can be found here:

The current guests for the event are: David Hewlett "Dr Meredith Rodney McKay", Susanne Braun "Hathor”, Brian J Smith “Matthew Scott”, Ryan Robbins “Ladon Radim”, Sharon Taylor “Amelia Banks” and James Bamford – Stunt Coordinator. Just as with Chevron 7.3 - your help would benefit fans worldwide, as many do not yet know about the convention. Therefore I was wondering if you could help us out this time, by putting an advert in your sidebar, or a banner on your website, adding us as an affiliate, and/or even putting a banner or link somewhere such as a news post. Any help would be appreciated. The Chevron 7.4 website has a page dedicated to banners to advertise the event:

October 18, 2009 ~ What's up?

Sel couldn't make it to NYC for the con, so she's wondering how Tony liked the snow. :) Snow in OCTOBER!

The lovely people at Chevron73 dropped a note to let us know about a con they're throwing. They asked us to please announce it and Sel said SURE!

"Our current guests are: Torri Higginson "Dr. Elizabeth Weir", David Blue "Eli Wallace", Corin Nemec "Jonas Quinn" & Rainbow Francks "Lt. Aiden Ford".

Further guests to be announced!"

Garry's doing a con in August 2010 ~ Auto Assembly 2010.

Friday 13th - Sunday 15th August 2010,
Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre,
Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham, England.

One of our Top Secret Jaffa sources, M, sent us this link that discusses a smokin' Tony Amendola (and we're not talking about Cigarette Smoking, ladies).

You remind me of a Mercutio I once knew. Colorado Shakespeare Festival. I was an assistant director for As You Like It where I made a lifelong friendship with an actor there, Tony Amendola (Stargate, among others). All the actors in the company (we all lived in one big house in Boulder) wanted to play Mercutio, but Tony smoked them all in auditions and completely owned the role. He was so damned sexy in that role it was breath-taking. It seemed like every time we went anywhere, some woman or girl would come up to us on wobbly knees and babble. The thing is Tony didn't carry any of his Mercutio affect when he wasn't "playing" it - but the performance was so full of energy that that's what all those women saw. - Years later, I talked about this with Tony's partner, Judith, and she knew all about it... has been watching women out on sidewalks in daylight treating him like whatever he makes happen in a darkened theatre. Talk about leaving your mark.

Well, it's probably a good thing Sel wasn't in NYC afterall, as she'd be a squeeing fangrrrl symbiote. (Speaking of squeeing fangrrrl symbiotes - isn't it amazing that Garry Chalk doesn't do NY area cons. Co-winky-dink? Sel says NO. :))"

And since Sel is just a slacker when it comes to updating her site, let us wish Carmena A HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!

Just another reminder on Carmen's series Ghostwriter's Facebook page.

And amazingly enough, someone wrote to Ask Sel a question!

And also, Selmak will be hitting the big SIX next month. Six years on the net and she still hasn't been shut down.

September 29, 2009 ~ What's up?

Eileen Grubba was kind enough to share some shots from GHOSTWRITER. If you want to help support Eileen and Carmen, meander on over to GHOSTWRITER FACEBOOK and also to their website.

Our good friends at the German website have interviewed Carmen regarding this. The German link is here, and the English link is HERE.

Tony Amendola is doing a con in NEWFOUNDLAND aka SCIFI On the ROCK April 17 & 18, 2010, (Thnxs ME for that!) and also appearing at GATECON, July 8-10, 2010.

Our Top Secret Tony Source (TSTS) reported in that Tony's ok in spite of all the wildfires in Southern Ca.

Please tell everyone we're fine. It's a bit scarey with the sun and moon a bright orange-red but with the exception of some ash and heavy smoke we're OK... Give my LOVE to all the fans. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

August 11, 2009 ~ Wow, I've been bad.

Sorry about the lack of new updates. Got laid off from my old job, got really depressed due to the piss poor economic situation locally and then fortunately got hired at a new and better company. :) Poor Sel wasn't abandoned, just put on the backburner while I figured out everything.

I'm sorry that Selmak.Org isn't really updating that much lately. There's not a lot going on with the boys.

Crabby and old-fashioned editor, Jack (Carmen Argenziano) gives journalist Angela (Eileen Grubba) her first assignment at World Tourist Magazine: write a feature piece on the Victorian Manor Tea House....

Wow! Wouldn't it be nice for Carmen to actually well, having a role where he's a NICE happy go lucky guy?
